websocket - Django-Channels - How to block more than one connection from same client (browser)

I am making a chat app in Django-Channels.

When an authenticated (means non-AnonymousUser)user opens the same URL in two different tabs,two websocket connections are made for the same user.

How to block the second connection made? Is there a way in Channels to know if a user is already connected to the server or not?
