Unfortunately me and the rest of the IT department at our business were celebrating a little yesterday and we jinxed ourselves with have the internet in the building going down we have tried everything from factory reset routers to flushing dns to powercycling the modem, and even replacing routers to see if this would help the issue, it has not, but we have determined who has internet and not the entire right side of the building has lost internet while the left side is completely fine. The only other reasonable option we see is replacing the CAT5e wires starting from where we know the connection is good and testing as we go, I am wondering if there are any other solutions to this.
Issues include, shoty connectivity or none at all.
Ethernet not working whatsoever in the affected area.
Errors include:
Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration
Wifi doesn't have a valid ip configuration
Command prompt usage:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
Note: the two sides of the building have a connection running along the top of the factory ceiling through a ~250ft CAT5e cable the cable has been up for more than 2-3 years would it be possible this is our bad cable?
