I'm new to Premiere but have extensive experience using Sony Vegas. I can't figure out how to do a very simple thing: In Premiere, like in Vegas, the default for resetting the play head is that when you hit play and then stop, hitting play again starts at the location where you stopped, which is frankly not that useful (e.g. if your play head is initially at the 2:00 minute mark and you play for 15 seconds and hit stop, next time it will play at 2:15 - UGH!!). Vegas has a preference option where you can change that behavior so that when you hit play and then stop, it returns the play head to the position it was before you hit play - for example, if your play head is at exactly the 2:00 minute mark and you hit play and then play for 15 seconds before stopping, the play head will return back to exactly the 2:00 minute mark. How can you get Premiere to do exactly this? I'm doing an audio mix for an entire feature-length film so I do NOT want to go to the trouble of setting in and out points for every place that I need to listen back from, there are literally thousands of times I will need to do that. THANKS!!
