Building a notification app that helps people stay up to date on certain topics. The primary purpose is to provide immediate notifications, though there’s potential for these notifications to only come through a few times a year, depending on the user’s settings.
I know newer operating systems offer App Offloading for infrequently used apps. This sounds like it will break our offering if the app gets offloaded unbeknownst to the user.
I know there are settings where you can choose “disable app offloading”, but there don’t seem to be app-specific locks available. Any ideas on that?
Another idea was to send a weekly notification that says “Hey open the app so we don't get offloaded” but that also seems a bit annoying.
