Properties to YAML

Question

I'm new to yaml , how to merge below yaml file with 3 properties which i picked from a property file?

spring:
  application:
    name: abc
logging:
  pattern:
    console: "%d [%thread] %-5level %logger{36} - %m %nopex%n"
  level:
    com.abc.def: DEBUG
    org.springframework: ERROR
    root: ERROR

how to merge above yaml with below properties?

spring.datasource.hikari.connection-test-query: SELECT 1 FROM DUAL
spring.datasource.hikari.connection-timeout=60000
spring.datasource.hikari.maximum-pool-size=5

I am not sure where to place them and how to place them. I can see online properties to yaml converter tools but i don't know how to merge both.

If I am not wrong , even few spaces and indentation is important in yaml. so that makes it difficult to define yaml file. What if by mistake if I give extra space in indentation in yaml? will it change the meaning? I find properties file more readable.
