Symfony - Select multiple dates with just one widget/form

Question

When you book a flight you need to choose the departure and the return date.

Normally when you want to choose the date you get the classic pop-up date picker, so you select the first date and after that (without going back and select another widget date again) you just choose the second date in the same date picker.

GOAL:

I want to do the same in Symfony.

I tried, with any result, to use the DateType Field.

The final result should be a symfony form with just one widget that returns an array with all periods.

similar form wanted: Controller Form

list of features:

• pick a range of dates

• pick multiple ranges of dates or just multiple dates without any one in between, or both

• even further pick directly one or more months/years

• return an array of arrays or objects

• do all with just one widget
