I've tried to build several Sconstruct projects (e.g. this, this and several others) using Msys2 and scons
which it provides (mingw32/mingw-w64-i686-scons 4.0.1-2
). Whenever I want to abort the build by pressing CTRL+C, I get back to the shell, however, the build keeps going in the background, and I have to go to task manager and kill python.exe from there to actually stop the build:
scons: Building targets ...
CXX dxx . common/2d/2dsline.cpp
CXX dxx . common/2d/bitblt.cpp
CXX dxx . common/2d/bitmap.cpp
^C
user@computer MINGW32 /c/Users/user/GIT/dxx-rebirth
$ CXX dxx . common/2d/box.cpp
CXX dxx . common/2d/canvas.cpp
...
No such problem appears with any make
or cmake
projects I have tried. Is this a known problem with scons
/ Msys2, and is there a fix? I understand a similar problem could be caused by a poorly written Sconstruct file, but I doubt several projects all have the same bug.
