rest - RESTful GET Using Express.js

Question

Create an exported function, findOne, that takes two parameters, req and res (provided by Express.js when a web request comes in), that extracts a parameter named id from the req object and searches the users list for a user with a matching id. If no matching user is found, the function sets the response code 404 and sends an error JSON object to the res object

    console.log(req.params.id);
    res.status(404);
    res.json({message: 'Not Found'});
}

I am stuck in adding if statement to check whether it matches or not. could any one help
