serverless framework - What is the quota limit of API keys per day in AWS API-Gateway https endpoint?

Question

I have this following code in my Serverless framework:

...
quota:
  limit: 100000
  period: DAY
throttle:
  burstLimit: 100
  rateLimit: 20
...

I was expecting to have a quota limit of 100K per day. But this is what I get in my AWS console:

Rate
20 requests per second 
Burst
100 requests 
Quota
1,000 requests per day  

That raises my question: Am I doing something wrong or 1000 is the DAY limit in AWS API-Gateway? I didn't find this info in the documentation.
