Codesigned gdb but I am still getting the same error message (MacOS Big Sur)

This is what I get after "gdb -p 'myPid'"

For help, type "help".
Type "apropos word" to search for commands related to "word".
Attaching to process 1202
Unable to find Mach task port for process-id 1202: (os/kern) failure (0x5).
(please check gdb is codesigned - see taskgated(8))

And this is what I get after "codesign -vv $(which gdb)"

/usr/local/bin/gdb: valid on disk
/usr/local/bin/gdb: satisfies its Designated Requirement

I don't know what to do anymore to get this to work.

Ive tried all these links as well:

https://sourceware.org/gdb/wiki/BuildingOnDarwin

gdb: "No symbol table is loaded"

Has anyone here had success with gdb on Big Sur? Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
