google tag manager - Integrate DataLayer server side java

Question

We have a site where we push some info into datalayer of GTM.

For example when user adds product to cart, deletes a product from cart, and so on...We implemented all logics for ecommerce, from guide like this one: https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/ecommerce-ga4

Is it possible to integrate the same logic server side?

Our site uses our API where we have all business logic. It should be possible to interact with datalayer server side doing same things we do now in our frontend?

We use Java in our API
