simply importing firebase analytics into my app is causing an error:
import * as firebase from 'firebase/app';
// Optionally import the services that you want to use
import "firebase/auth";
import "firebase/firestore";
import "firebase/functions";
import "firebase/storage";
// import 'firebase/analytics'; <--------- When uncommented, I get an error
// Initialize Firebase
// For Firebase JS SDK v7.20.0 and later, measurementId is optional
const firebaseConfig = {
apiKey: "//",
authDomain: "//",
databaseURL: "//",
projectId: "//",
storageBucket: "//",
messagingSenderId: "//",
appId: "///",
measurementId: "///"
};
// Initialize Firebase
let Firebase = firebase.initializeApp(firebaseConfig)
export default Firebase
When I uncomment import 'firebase/analytics', I get the following error:
Can't find variable: IDBIndex
My workspace:
Expo Managed Workspace, SDK 40.
It looks like I will not be able to integrate analytics. I don't need anything complex, just how much people are using the app, which screens they click on, and the DAU/Retention.
How can I fix this?
