reactjs - ASP.NET React not redirecting correctly (only in Production)

Question

Example scenario: example.com/home is served by React. In the top right hand corner I have a login button. Pressing this login button sends you to example.com/login. /login is supposed to be served by an ASP.NET controller, but routes to a 404 React component instead, but only in Production not Development. Going to /login directly (like via Ctrl + F5 when viewing the 404 component) routes me correctly.

I can't for the life of me figure out why. Sometimes a Ctrl + F5 doesn't work for some routes either. It's almost random as to when it does or doesn't call the ASP.NET controllers.
