I currently have a new AWS lightsail Wordpress instance running and I have just imported my old website using the All in 1 WP migration tool which has kept all my previous settings and plugins etc...
I am just going through some optimisation guides from AWS: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/improving-website-performance-with-lightsail-content-delivery-network/
which suggests using a CDN. However, on this page (https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-creating-content-delivery-network-distribution#distribution-caching-preset) it says:
The Best for WordPress preset to cache nothing except the files in the wp-includes/ and wp-content/ directories of your WordPress website
wp-includes/
wp-content/
Currently, all my images (i'm a photographer so there are over 2 thousand) are all stored on AWS S3 which has a CloudFront distribution over the top of it and are used in my site with the CloudFront URL.
AWS S3 is also a cheaper than the lightsail CDN which is $2.50 per month.
I am looking to increase my site performace, so I will happily use Lightsail CDN if it will indeed help.
What are the benefits? Is it worth it? Will it cause too many issues having a cache of a cache etc?
Thanks in advance for the help
